THE Royal Fee for Riyadh Metropolis (RCRC) in Saudi Arabia has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to prequalified bidders for a contract to design and construct Line 7 of the Riyadh Metro. The deadline for submissions is March 10 2025.
Based on native media, 4 consortia are amongst these planning to bid for the challenge.
Alstom has joined with FCC and Webuild, in addition to native corporations Freyssinet and Nesma. Design consultancy providers are being offered by Typsa, Ayesa and Aecom.
Siemens is reported to be working with Samsung C&T, Acciona and native firm Alayuni. Idom, Dowha of Korea and Pini of Switzerland are enterprise design.
A 3rd consortium includes Hitachi Rail, OHLA, Daewoo and Hyundai E&C, working with native corporations Almabani and Albawani. Sener is performing as design guide.
CRRC is bidding with Turkish corporations Mapa and Limak.
Line 7 will likely be 65km lengthy with 19 stations, connecting Qiddiya Leisure Metropolis, King Abdullah Worldwide Gardens, King Salman Park, Misk Metropolis and Diriyah Gate.
The brand new metro line will run in tunnel for 47km, with 19km of elevated infrastructure and 14 underground and 5 elevated stations.
A six-line, 176km metro community has been constructed in Riyadh and is reportedly on the verge of opening, with an announcement anticipated subsequent month.
